About the Project

The text has been rewritten to sound cleaner while keeping the original idea and criteria.

My finalised idea is to produce a detailed medieval dining hall based on a range of reference images from the time period. The aim is to include enough detail to make the scene feel authentic, with stained glass windows, wooden furniture and smaller historical props helping to build the overall atmosphere.

The project requires a range of assets, including tables, chairs, chandeliers, pillars, knives, forks, plates and other dining objects. These props help make the environment feel believable and support the idea of a castle hall being used to host functions, meals and events.

The scene is historically informative because it uses reference-based furniture, utensils and stained glass textures inspired by real-world historical buildings. Worn wood, stone wall materials and high resolution window textures help the project fit the brief of being a “window into the past.”

Embedded 3D Models

The Sketchfab models are now placed in responsive cards instead of fixed negative-margin blocks.

Chandelier

A hanging lighting asset used to support the medieval hall atmosphere and vertical detail.

Medieval Chair

A furniture prop that helps establish scale, purpose and historical style inside the dining hall.

Project Process

A clearer breakdown of how the environment can be presented in a portfolio or college project page.

Research

Collect references of castle halls, furniture, stained glass, utensils and lighting from the medieval period.

Blockout

Build the main hall layout, checking scale, table placement, walking space and camera composition.

Asset Creation

Create props such as chairs, tables, chandeliers, pillars, plates, knives and forks for visual detail.

Texturing

Add worn wood, stone walls and stained glass textures to make the scene feel more authentic and finished.
